Souq 7 is a retail-focused urban regeneration project to re-develop an 80-hectare district of southern Jeddah. The district is currently known locally and variously as the Bin Laden Souk, Souk Amir Mitaeb and Kilo 7. The district was home to a general merchandise market and auto-repair showrooms.Souq 7 aims to celebrate the best of Saudi bazaars and souq, leveraging the heritage, culture and traditions of these locations to create an alternative ‘new economy’ environment, where the customer can experience everything, the modern world has to offer to residents and tourists alike, in an organized, compelling and innovative presentation which showcases the Saudi renaissance.
